BIOGRAFÍA:
KARONTE son la banda de metal extremo más veterana de Cantabria (norte de España), formándose en 1994 tras la unión de 4 músicos que ya habían sido miembros de otras bandas underground de la zona desde 1991. Muchos han sido los conciertos que han dado desde entonces, compartiendo escenario con bandas de la categoría de Centinex (Suecia), Mercyless (Francia), Avulsed, Runic, The Eyes, Mordor... y participando en festivales como el Barbarian Metal Fest (Madrid), Black Xmas (Irún) o Milwookis Metal Fest. KARONTE hasta la fecha han editado 3 demos, aparecido en múltiples recopilatorios (incluyendo un DVD que recoge parte de su actuación en el Milwookis Metal Fest), "Letargo" (su primer larga duración en CD) y ahora "Paraíso sin fe". Su sonido agresivo, potente y a la vez lleno de sentimiento, es una mezcla de Death, Thrash y Doom Metal, con influencias de bandas como Gorefest, Hypocrisy, Paradise Lost, Bolt Thrower, Entombed y el sonido clásico del thrash y death metal. Ahora en 2012, editan su segundo CD llamado "Paraíso sin fe". Más agresivo que el anterior, KARONTE se asientan aún más en las bases del metal extremo más pesado, potente y melódico.

KARONTE is the most veteran extreme metal band from Cantabria (northern Spain), being formed in 1994 after the union of 4 musicians that already played in other underground bands from the same area since 1991. Many have been the shows played since then, sharing stage with bands such as Centinex (Swe), Mercyless (Fra), Avulsed, Runic, The Eyes, Mordor... and playing in festivals such as the Barbarian Metal Fest (Madrid), Black Xmas (Irún) or Milwookis Metal Fest. KARONTE has released 3 demos to date, appeared in many compilations (including a DVD featuring their participation in the Milwookis Metal Fest), "Letargo"(their first full lentgh CD) and now "Paraíso sin fe". Their aggressive sound, powerful yet full of feeling, is a mixture of Death, Thrash and Doom Metal, with influences from bands like Gorefest, Hypocrisy, Paradise Lost, Bolt Thrower, Entombed and the classic sound of thrash and death metal. In 2012, released their second CD called "Paraíso sin fe". More aggressive than previous stuff, KARONTE settled deep into the foundations of heavy end, powerful and melodic of extreme metal.
